Annoying Ghost does not collect personal data or send it to the developer. The app has no accounts, developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. Game data and custom ghosts are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share a ghost with someone.

Information we collect

None. The developer does not receive your name, contacts, location, photos, recordings, device identifiers, custom ghost content, or usage analytics. Annoying Ghost does not connect to a server operated by the developer.

Device sensors

• Motion: The game reads your phone's motion (via CoreMotion) to detect swings and, on supported headphones, your head orientation. This data is used only in the moment to run the game and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
• Camera and TrueDepth (optional): If you take a selfie in Ghost Studio, the app uses the front camera. On supported devices, it may also derive a compact depth guide so the finished ghost portrait can move in three dimensions. The depth guide is used only for the visual effect, not to identify or authenticate you. The original camera selfie and original depth capture are not retained by Annoying Ghost.
• Photo library (optional): You may select a photo through Apple's system photo picker. The selected source image is used to create a ghost portrait and is not retained by Annoying Ghost after that process.
• Personal Voice (optional): If you choose the "Digi-ghost" voice, the app speaks lines using Apple's Personal Voice feature. That voice is created and processed by iOS on your device; the app never receives, copies, or transmits the underlying audio.

Microphone and voice recordings

Ghost Studio uses the microphone only when you choose to record reactive lines for a custom ghost. Those recordings are stored locally on your device and are not sent to the developer. You can delete individual recordings or the entire custom ghost in the app.

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, Annoying Ghost uses Apple's Foundation Models and Image Playground frameworks to suggest ghost lines and create an illustrated ghost portrait. Availability and processing are controlled by Apple and your device settings. Annoying Ghost does not send these prompts, source images, suggestions, or generated portraits to a developer-operated server.

Sharing a custom ghost

If you deliberately use the system share sheet, Annoying Ghost creates an .agghost file that may contain the ghost's name, creator name, written lines, voice recordings, finished illustrated portrait, spectral color, and a compact derived depth guide. You choose the person, app, or service that receives the file. The developer does not receive a copy. Once shared, the recipient and the selected sharing service control their copies under their own privacy terms. The original selfie is never included in the file.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, scores, custom ghost names, generated portraits, derived depth guides, and voice recordings are saved locally using standard iOS storage. You can remove custom content from within the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data, but does not remove copies of .agghost files that you or a recipient saved or shared elsewhere.

Children

Annoying Ghost does not knowingly collect personal data from children or anyone else. Custom ghost recordings and text are created and shared only at the user's direction.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
